Located in the rolling grasslands of our neighboring Santa Cruz County, this home, developed with a modest program, utilizes an insulated masonry system which exposes the raw and insulated concrete block to improve the interior thermal performance. A simple composition of sandblasted concrete block and oxidized steel suggest that this structure, which takes its form from the vernacular, also finds its way into the present.
